Heroes of Silvatica City

Tenpo could do that, she could definitely deal with this plan - except Death fixated on Aaliyah and then vanished. They all heard what he said and Kyun looked horrified. "Aaliyah," she whispered, getting up shakily to her feet. "He's going to her. Come, quick!" she gestured for Daniel to come to her, while still holding Corlock. It might wake her up a bit if she teleported, but it might also take it out of her. Meanwhile another huge ship was looming over the city and the others were preparing for whatever else was coming.

Pestilence was not going to back down to this, and he pushed back against Viviix too. Aditya nodded in agreement. "Bea throw Aditya high-a," she instructed, pointing to a point high above Pestilence's head.

Kyun exhaled slowly, and then teleported them to just outside the final door of the safe house. Aaliyah and Honey were behind that door - but was anyone else? Meanwhile the others had gotten back in formation in preparation for the arrival of War.

Aditya drew her little knife as she sailed through the air, then came plummeting down behind Pestilence. She braced herself because this bit wouldn't be nice. From the way Viviix's was gripping Pestilence's arms, its back was wide open, so Aditya sliced her knife all the way down the middle of its back. Blood and mucus fountained out, and they heard Pestilence make sound for the first time - a strangled, gurgling scream. "Stun, Bea!" Aditya yelped, flipping away before too much blood could spray her. Where it spattered the ground, the dirt and grass sizzled and were melted.

[Wife?] It took a while to open the door, because it wasn't just something flimsy that could be swung open and shut like normal. When it was finally open, they got a look inside, and for the first split second it looked normal. But then they realise that Honey was pointing her own gun at her head. She looked panicked, she was sweating and trembling, and trying to hold the gun as still as possible. Aaliyah was standing in the opposite corner, looking confused as shadows swarmed around her. She wasn't holding her bump like usual. "We don't have a plan for any of them, mind," Squishy pointed out. What a ridiculous thing for Ica to say. It didn't blame her, she was stressed and hurt.

Pestilence continued to shriek and writhe from Pijbe's zapping and Viviix's powerful beam. For some reason Pijbe was just hurting it where Aditya had wounded it, rather than stunning it in the head like would make sense. It wasn't disintegrating at this rate. Aditya ran over and stood beside Pijbe, fiddling with the settings on her helmet, and then she directed one of her attacks at it. It worked. Pestilence went limp and then its body began to break up in Viviix's beam. It decayed incredibly fast between the three of them and smelled even more foul.

Honey looked like she wanted to grab the gun back from Corlock, but she wasn't sure why. Aaliyah blinked a few times as Daniel came up beside her. "D-Danny? W-what's..." She looked down at her bump and her eyes bulged. "W-wha-? Huh?!" They all jumped out of the way as something huge came towards them. So this was War now? Tenpo was the last out of the way and some of the rubble hit her on the back.

Aditya sat down heavily on the ground, breathing heavily and rubbing her skin that had been so dry and gross before. Pestilence was gone, but would it leave any physical or mental effects behind?

"I-I thought," stammered Aaliyah. "I thought... H-h-he... Died?" She had memories in her mind that were false, that told her that Danny Junior had died during the pregnancy. But she didn't remember exactly how. There were so many memories of him dying, all jumbled up, some where he was nothing but a cramp, some where things went wrong at different times of the pregnancy, some where he was murdered - by enemies, by friends, by Daniel, by herself. Death had planted all these horrendous memories in her mind, which she was slowly starting to lose... Tenpo let Zeke help her up, but she was fine. Her armour could withstand something more powerful than flying debris. Squishy stood up to War. "We refuse," it said simply.

"Both go... To water ya," Aditya suggested. Both she and Pijbe were semi-aquatic, so perhaps Pijbe would be healed by clean water too. They tentatively lifted their gangly limbed love up and went to find some clean water nearby. Everything around their house and on their main patch of land was diseased, so they had to venture much further than usual for water. "How long will... This last ya?" whispered Aditya as she shrunk beneath the waves, trying to rub out the dryness of her skin.

Aaliyah simultaneously wanted to push Daniel away in disgust and be held by him, but instead she just remained where she was, one hand holding D.J. and the other clutching painfully tight at her head. Kyun raised her Samser. "Pathetic. Why don't you fight someone who can fight back?!" Thankfully War was relatively slow, to start off with at least, and Squishy was able to partially dodge his charge. War smashed into its legs as it stretched out of the way, causing them to distort and become tangled up. It managed to grab hold of a nearby building and pull itself up, but its legs were now a mess. That had hurt. Squishy wasn't really used to that.

Aditya also took a tentacle and gently kissed it. "We-a gonna leave the caretaker in charge ya," she murmured. They had an emergency robot that they could activate to look after their animals in the unlikely event that they had to go off-world. It was rusty and didn't give the animals as much love as the three of them, but that was what they would have to do. As well as moving the animals to another part of the planet that wasn't sick.

"You talk too much," Kyun snapped, lunging forward to try to stab Death with her supercharged Samser. That was a pretty impressive blast from Ire. Squishy wished it had activated its armour now, then its legs might not help as much.

It seemed it was time to use her teleport, but Kyun was holding back until Corlock and Daniel were attacking Death at the same time. They all knew how to fight around her teleport even in small spaces. Through the clouds, another huge apostle ship descended and smashed straight through a skyscraper before it landed on the ground. The other apostle exited the ship, and the sight was... Sickening. This apostle was as tall as War but much spindlier, so spindly that its bones were straight up showing through its skin. When it moved, it whined and wheezed, and growled like the growling of an empty stomach. "I... Hungerrrr..." it rasped.

When Death shifted, Kyun made to leap back out of the way with her Samser gripped tightly in her hand. Except - she vanished and appeared right behind Death. She stabbed her electrified Samser down and ran it right through his empty eye socket. Famine didn't seem to be focused on any of their opponents. "War," it sighed. "Famine is... Dispersed." The others didn't get it, as they lined up ready to fight.

Kyun twisted the blunt blade deeper into Death's eye, making it harder for him to move his head as it was going through his jaw bone and pressing against his chest, before he flung her away. Aaliyah was still lost in her delusions somewhat but she saw Daniel being thrown back through all that. Despite her precious bump, she waddled over to him and squatted down next to him. "Danny?" Famine was also disinterested in the little ones, but seeing as War didn't care that these people had the potential to fight back hard. Squishy, Ica, and Ire all felt very lethargic from just looking at Famine, which made sense.

"Son of a bitch!" Kyun hissed angrily, not letting Corlock hug her. "He took my Samser! C'mon guys, don't get slack, we have to go find him." Why were they relaxing and smiling when Death was still nearby?! They had no time to rest on their laurels and hug one another! "Here," Aaliyah offered, shakily walking over to Kyun and giving her her staff, which she kept on her at all times. Tenpo stood back with Morella for now. Zeke had gone in first so they could watch how War worked. Famine's body buckled and parts of its bony ribs flew away when Ire fired on it. But it seemed unaffected by the chunks missing from it as it turned towards Ire slowly with its faceless face. "So... Hungry," it rasped, beginning to drift towards them.

Kyun was annoyed that Corlock was being so naive, and she ignored him as she put Aaliyah's shortened staff into her belt holster. "Uhh..." Aaliyah trailed off, looking behind her at where Honey had been. She was no longer in the room. Tenpo swiftly ran to intercept Zeke and broke his fall, the boots on her suit digging into the ground as they skidded backwards a couple of feet. "Got you," she murmured to him with a smile. Surprisingly, famine raised one pair of arms and caught the car with relative ease. It ripped part of the back of the car off and held it above its face as petrol began to leak from the back. A horrifying mouth split its face open to drink the oil as it dribbled all over it. "Ew," Squishy muttered.

Aaliyah looked deeply uncomfortable and wanted to leave this place that was no longer safe, but she let them all focus on the fruitless effort of trying to find Death. Tenpo smiled a little more and nodded. Then her eyes bulged and she pushed Zeke hastily backwards, but had no time herself to dodge as War charged out of no where right into her, barrelling her away. Famine finished up drinking from the car and threw it away, smashing it into a nearby building. "Hungryyyy..." it rasped. "There is... A sweet fruit... Nearby." It reached up with one of its hands and plucked something from midair, like it was pulling a fruit from an invisibly tree. The fruit it plucked was a plump, blond woman in a slightly too tight pencil skirt and shirt.
