"She's helping with the MMA club," someone said from nearby. it made sense. She was their strongest and best member.

“Hmmm...I suppose we will just have to make due. Lola are you ready? I think I can get you up there.” DJ said to Layla. “Sure. Ill make myself as light as possible.” She said as she walked over to Dj. He lifted her up very easily and with as much strength as he could, tossed her high into the air in the direction that Olivia had indicated. They all saw her zip through the air and then up through the ceiling as she managed to just barely make it. Meanwhile, Alistar shot Mia a text to ask her where she was, because somethin cool was happening in the gymnasium. Mia got the text and her and Cha started to head on over to see what was going on.

"Daniel Junior!" they heard a disgruntled voice behind them. It was Aaliyah, in her gym wear with her hair tied up, looking quite unimpressed. "What d'ya think you're doin', young man?" Amber, not knowing that DJ was Aaliyah's son, cringed as she perceived an annoyed teacher scolding a student. After all, they were in the middle of the gym hall where people were signing up to clubs, and they'd just thrown a girl up to the ceiling.

Uh oh. She said his whole name. “H-hey mom. We uh...we..” Daniel said trying to think of a logical way of explaining why he threw lola into the roof. “There’s a thief in the roof so we threw Lola up there to grab them!” Alistar explained. Meanwhile, Lola had managed to phase through into the ceiling and found the crawl space that had all the stolen items. This thief had been busy. Now she just needed to find them.

Did he just say 'mum'? Wow, this teacher was his mother? Come to think of it, Amber did notice a resemblance. Aaliyah didn't look convinced, but she sighed. She had never been able to tell off her children, and DJ's stammering sent blades of guilt piercing through her heart. "Just be careful, please," she said to all of them.

“Well be careful Coach dont worry!” Alistar said with a smile. Besides they had Lola up there. She could take care of anyone or anything that was up there. “Come out come out little thief. If you give yourself up nobody will be mad at you.” Lola said as she crawled around the little den. She could hear something in the corner. Oh was it the thief?

Aaliyah turned and walked away, and Amber couldn't help admiring her impressive tail. "She's your... Mother?" she asked DJ as casually as possible, trying to hide how impressed and jealous she was. There was a shuffling noise, but when Lola spoke it went silent. Until a round, green thing shot out of hiding and zipped right past Lola, whizzing further away into the vents.

“Heh yeah that’s my mom. She’s pretty cool, although she can be scary at times.” Daniel said with a chuckle. “Whoa!” Lola said as it zipped by. But she managed to get a good look at it. She grabbed all that she could carry and then floated down out of the vents back down to the ground. “I found our culprit. Seems its not a person. Its some kind of creature. And its using the vents.” Lola said.

Amber kept looking at Aaliyah after that, and nervously tucked a strand of hair behind her ear. "Hmm, a strange creature?" Tarana said, tapping her lips. "Perhaps an alien? This has become much more serious, we may have to report this to Principle Squishy." The principle was very weary of aliens, so much so that off-world children were vetted much more than the others.

“I agree, but lets not just yet. We dont actually even know if its an alien, it could be a student who’s got some kind of strange mutation power. I say we capture it first, then figure out what to do.” Alistar said. It did sound logical, but Dj and Lola kind of agreed with Tarana. If it turned out to be dangerous they could be getting a lot of people in trouble, including themselves. Meanwhile, Mia and Cha were getting close to the gym when they felt something coming towards them.

That was a very bad idea, but what else could they do? "Which way did it go?" Tarana asked no one in particular. Cha didn't have any kind of sixth sense or anything like that so she didn't sense anything approaching. She was also distracted by Mia, like she always was, but trying to hide it as usual. They passed by a bunch of cool kids who nodded and waved to them, and Mia waved back.

Lola told them which way they saw it zip so they decided to go out and follow. Mia didnt have like a sixth sense power or anything, but she did always seem a bit aware when something was about to happen. Mia felt like something was headed towards them, and she quickly, but gently, picked Cha up and moved her before whatever it was hit them. Whatever it was didnt seem to realize how big Mia was though and smacked right into her forehead.

Cha squeaked, and automatically got cross and flustered when Mia scooped her up suddenly. "H-hey! What the hell?! Put me down!" The cool kids sort of scoffed and walked off, thinking how weird that was. Cha was so embarrassed, not just by that but also because... Mia was holding her in her big arms. She must be able to feel Cha's heart pounding out of her chest. She didn't see Mia get whacked in the head.

Mia would have apologized but was busy with the thing flailing on her face. She grabbed it and held it in her arms. Oh my god.... “This is sooo cute!!” Mia said, seeing the weird Squishy thing that was trying to escape her but couldnt.

Cha got unceremoniously dropped and made an 'oof' sound as she hit the floor. "What is your problem Mia?!" she demanded, before realising Mia was struggling with something. Huh...

“Oh cha Im so sorry! But look at this little guy!” Mia said, probably not realizing how big it is that they just caught some kind of creature. The others arrived quickly and saw what Mia was holding. “I think Mia caught our thief.” Lola said.
