Heroes of Silvatica City

"Yes, though I am not sure what to do," Squishy said. It was a tactile fighter, but these flying ships seemed something more easily taken down by someone with energy projection powers. This would be tough. Aaliyah had a look of grim determination on her face. "I'll be fine." What she wasn't telling Daniel was that she'd be protecting him to the best of her abilities from any harm. He was starting to mean too much to her. She couldn't lose another Daniel... "Okay," Caoimhe agreed. "Be careful," she added, to both William and Golem. The big guy could handle himself. As Zeke did that, Tenpo headed for the nearest civilians in need of help and ushered them to an underpass.

"Here goes nothing," Squishy said, parroting a line it had heard from a movie or two. It threw out its arm and managed to fling one of the alien invaders to the ground, where it didn't bounce. These people were all dressed in white garbs with silver armour. They all had a vaguely religious look to them, but none of them had time to notice such details. Aaliyah had similar qualms, so she didn't aim to kill any of them. Instead, she used the training she'd been doing to go for weak spots to knock them out: neck joints, solar plexus, the back of the head. Except their armour was hard and hurt her hands. She sorely needed her staff. Usually Caoimhe looked away from the decaying life energies of those who were killed in front of her, but not anymore. Those who survived the fall, she made pass out quickly. "I'll be borrowin' this," she said, combining their energies with her own. Tenpo was thinking similarly to Zeke, in that she didn't want him to be hurt either. But, like in a movie, just as they were helping others down below ground, an immense alien landed on the ground near Zeke. It was over 8 foot tall, clad in that magnificent silver armour and wielding a large hammer.

Squishy was hanging onto the side of a building, seemingly, sniping any small ship that came past. The aliens on high had gotten wind of the small group of heroes defending the city, and were starting to worsen their attacks. "I need ma stick!" Aaliyah said, having just thrown a guy over her shoulder so she was slightly out of breath. The tall alien approaching Zeke wasn't something the others would notice, as the whole city was starting to be overrun by various alien pockets. Zeke's speed theory didn't hold up well, as the beast began to swing his hammer around faster and faster, until it resembled helicopter blades. Tenpo heard the horrifying hum of it and turned to see Zeke facing off a mini Hulk.

This staff would do as well as her usual one, though Aaliyah wasn't sure if it had all the capabilities of her one. Probably did, knowing Daniel. With this, Aaliyah was now a much more intense fighter, hitting harder and faster, zipping like a gangling blur through the air. [Do not make him sing Immigrant Song ffs!] Just as Zeke psyched himself up physically to attack his aggressor, the hulking creature abruptly stopped spinning his hammer. It created a blinding flash and sent a shockwave directly at both Zeke, and the civilians with Tenpo behind him.

The two of them managed to take out a large chunk of aliens and gave themselves some breathing room to get their energy back. But the others were all still fighting, so they should help them out. Aaliyah with her sensitive hearing heard a sound a few streets away, what basically sounded like a laser beam, accompanied by people shrieking. "This way," she encouraged Daniel, running down an alley. Tenpo watched on in horror as Zeke was pounded by the huge energy front, and she wailed silently into her suit. But then... He started singing. Had he never told her that his powers involved singing?

As Daniel and Aaliyah went in search of the loud sound, one of the alien aggressors lurched out from behind a building. It was big, but somehow fast. Aaliyah wasn't fast enough to get away, and snarled as the thing grabbed her by the hair and hoisted her into the air. When Zeke stabbed the alien, it roared and buckled forward a bit. But then, Zeke felt his energy being drained from his slightly. It was strange. As he got more drained, the alien began to stand up straight and strong again.

[Aww I wanted to give Aaliyah a haircut.] Aaliyah fell to the ground and disentangled the alien's thick fingers from her hair, somehow. A few clumps had already been pulled out, not that she cared too much. The now one armed alien buckled backwards, but wasn't sent flying by Daniel's kick. It growled, and pointed the stumped of its arm at Daniel. Rather than just spraying blood at him, the wound began to glow, and shot a beam of light at Daniel. And then all of a sudden, all of the aliens looked skyward and began whooping/chanting rhythmically. The sky began to glow far too bright, as if a giant ball of energy were headed towards the planet. It became too intense, and then the sky was pitch black. Some of the immense energy force shone through and lit up the ground in patches, incinerating everything it touched, but the rest was seemingly stopped in its tracks by Knight.

Thankfully, a decent portion of the aliens were caught up in the cosmic crossfire and sizzled away to nothing. But even though the giant entity that had preceded them had just killed many of their brethren, the aliens still continued their merciless assault on Earth. Caoimhe had been close to one of the blast zones, and noted two things. One, that the energy from the sky was the same as the energy in all of their attackers, like they were all part of one immense being. Two, that the energy was very much alive. And she was using much of it for herself now, so much that she had quite lost herself and was flying through the streets in a glowing haze. Knight appeared suddenly, before Elli. "Oh thank fuck you're alive," she said, sounding panicked and quite unlike herself. "You'll have to keep this up for a little longer. She's weakening." Aaliyah had taken the opportunity to hop up onto the alien and try to twist its neck, though she had to use all five of her limbs before it would break. "No time to worry 'bout what they doin'," she grunted, rubbing the back of her head where her some of her hair had been torn out. Tenpo and Zeke finished herding the people underground into the subway., but now the question was whether they should stay here and guard them, or go back out to fight.

Knight's composure returned briefly, but to Elli it was obviously a show. "I'm winning," she said with a grin, before she vanished again. Tenpo hastily went after Zeke, thinking loudly to him: "I won't let you go alone!" She didn't want him to come anywhere close to being hurt.

"I have not seen Caoimhe or William in some time," Squishy said. It had a birds eye view up on the buildings, and the last time it had seen either of them, they'd not been doing too happily. Tenop was shaking her head vehemently, but Zeke was gone before she could unscramble her thoughts. This was a ridiculously bad idea, leaving Tenpo to protect others in a confined space.

"Do we need to handle him?" Squishy questioned. They still had to fight aliens, who had begun to attack them again, and William was the best at that. When they had descended to the ground, they intercepted Zeke, Aaliyah, and Daniel. Not knowing Tenpo's true power, they all assumed she would be alright underground. "This gettin' rough," Aaliyah said, looking tiredly around at all of the carnage.

They didn't have much time to think, as another wave of aliens attacked them. They were getting bigger and more powerful, and therefore much harder to beat. Until a small body swooped in above them surrounded by a halo a rainbow coloured light. It was Caoimhe, but like they'd not seen before. She didn't seem to notice them as she glided by, but the aliens around them all fell to the ground. They seemed to be just passed out.

Elli's flippant tone baffled Squishy, but it was probably more confused by Caoimhe's add powers than anything. The aliens were more erratic now, and their attacks were starting to weaken. Perhaps this was due to Knight fighting their giant celestial leader. When Zeke, Aaliyah, and Daniel came upon the subway entrance, they saw that something very big hard torn through it, and could hear screaming below ground. Leaving Tenpo with civilians had been a bad idea after all.
