Tenpo knew it was coming and she braved herself, bending her legs slightly and anchoring herself fully. She might be able to take whatever War had, but there would only be one way to find out.

Tenpo could handle this. She created a barrier of sound in front of her that protected her from the debris, and stood tall when the blast had dissipated. War could see that she was totally unaffected. But then she felt suddenly crippled with hunger, and crumbled to her feet when Famine loomed over the top of her. It had been wounded a lot by that blast and it was pissed off now.

Famine ignored War as it picked a weakly struggling Tenpo up. “So... Hungryyyy,” it groaned. It was always hungry. And now it was stealing War’s prey.

Was War killing one of its own comrades? Tenpo was horrified bun famine’s agonised wailing, and she began to scramble away when her strength returned. But her voice was shaky now. She couldn’t build any attacks. Quickly she ducked inside the nearest building to hide.

Tenpo has run into a building with doors too small for war to fit through. She was expecting him to smash them down any moment now but she needed all the time she could get to regain her strength - and most importantly her voice.

Tenpo was biding her time, waiting for War to smash the building she was in. He smashed a hole in the wall in front of her, leaving himself wide open. The perfect opportunity! She rushed forward and barrelled into him using her voice to power herself up and push him back. Then she stood on his chest and shouted down at him, pummelling him with immense force.

This couldn’t be it. Tenpo hadn’t even used her full might. She expected a sneak attack so she quickly hopped backwards onto the ground and kept watching War.

Tenpo internally cursed and hopped back a bit further. “Stay down,” she said in a loud and clear voice that made the already battered buildings begin to crumble further. “We are not evenly matched.” She was hoping to psych him out a bit more and rile him up.

”I have not yet warmed up,” replied Tenpo. She put one leg back and braced herself - and then she whistled. The sound was so high pitched that all the glass around them shattered, and it shot like a laser right at war.

Tenpo whistled more loudly this time, somehow, which made the buildings judder. She turned her head to follow War’s path, creating a line of devastation the carved through buildings. It looked like the force of it was pushing her back, as her neck was straining to stay straight. And she had a tiny nose bleed.

Tenpo demonstrates her other talent - she gracefully leapt backwards through the air and cartwheeled away from War’s hammer. This did stop her laser-whistle from coming after him and potentially gave him an opening.

Tenpo yelled out in pain and surprise, and then grunted as she smashed into the ground. Her pained voice had a strange property. It resonated in such a way that it gave War the most pounding headache, to make him feel some of the pain Tenpo felt. Her suit had taken quite a hit and she was sure it wouldn’t last much longer. Which meant she would be fully unleashed. She whimpered as she crawled out of the crater and started to limp backwards away from War.

Tenpo cried out in pain again, giving War an even worse headache. When she was smashed into the floor this time, her suit cracked and fell partly off her body, leaving just her legs and lower arms covered in metal. Despite the agony of such a battering, Tenpo managed to curl her body up and direct a small shout at War's fist that was closed around her leg. His armour crumpled inwards and mangled his hand, meaning her leg was free so she could wriggle away again.
