Padma smiled shyly and held up her swords in readiness. Oh boy, she was going to impress Maui to heaven and back with whatever she was about to do. Taking a deep breath, Padma... Danced? It was hard to describe it in any other way, because it was graceful and balletic and beautiful. She hopped and pirouetted lyrically, with her swords looking like extensions of herself. They didn't scythe through the shadows so much as sigh through them, looking like the most painless and loveliest way to end them imaginable. The dance came to an end soon enough, leaving Padma to practically float to the ground.

Elvira's normal snippy rebuttal or quick wit failed her this time, simply because she was too awestruck and feeling feelings to get snarky. Words failed her entirely in fact, and she just stared at him adoringly. She really had an urge to grab him by the collar and... Do something they did in all those romantic dramas...

Fantasia rubbed her chin in thought. "I think... We should find a way to heal this gem," she said. "If these shadows here are good and kind, then why break this ecosystem?"

Once she was done, Maui felt compelled to clap. That was like the most wonderful performance he had ever seen! “Padma that was...amazing!” Maui said. A few fairies had come out to see the commotion and had saw Padmas incredible display. A few were very impressed.

Dae-jung looked confused. Usually she would deliver some kind of witty quip or retort but she was just staring at him. Longingly. With those beautiful eyes....Dae- jung had gotten a bit close and it felt like something was going to happen but they were quickly interrupted by a stampeded of fairies who had rushed at them. “That was amazing!” “How did you do that?” “Are you a magic human?” “You look like one of the legendary heroes!” “what technique was that?” “Can you sign my tail?” A flood of questions were sent to the both of them, but mostly at Dae-jung because of what he had just done.

“How do we do that?” Sunny asked. That did seem like an optimal solution but they didnt know how any of this worked. Foo had been in charge of all this magical stuff so they were clueless.

Padma sheathed her swords through loops in her belt, and then looked down at her now empty hands. They were trembling. The adrenaline was already wearing off and being replaced by awful memories of the last time she'd invoked her powers. This time was different, she knew that, but it was still achingly familiar. Padma was a little out of it, so she didn't register that she had gone over to Maui and hugged him.

One of the fairies brushed against Elvira and made her slip sideways off her sword. Stumbling and grumbling, she regained her composure and made her sword vanish. "G-good job," she said gruffly. "Now we even, we fight together next time?"

"We?" Fantasia grinned at Sunny and Robin. "No, no, I will do itaxe. . You just watch." Fantasia spotted the gem and walked on over to it. She drew her hand in an arc through the air and summoned forth a huge, brilliant, multicoloured axe of some sort. It was beautiful, with the appearance of all the stars in the galaxy yet also the intricate shimmer of a butterfly's wing. With it at hand, Fantasia felt her abilities return to her, and with it, her magical princess outfit. She hummed as she pressed her hand to the gem, making it glow.

Maui was surprised as she hugged him, but he happily hugged her back. “You did amazing Padma. That was so spectacular.” Maui said to her. As they hugged, some of the fairies came out and examined what just happened. They were unsure how to feel about it though...

Dae-jung nodded and gave a little smile. “Of course. We have to work on our combos.” Dae-jung said. The fairies were still bombarding them, and then they took them inside of the fortress city. They took both of them to the leader, and he informed them that Foo and Farrow had established nests across the world. These nests could produce more shadows using Foo and Farrows powers, but every couple of weeks they would have to visit the nests. “That means, we might be able to catch foo. Or this Farrow.” Dae-jung said. They needed to tell this to the others.

Sunny looked on in awe as Fantasia used her powers. Whoa. Seems she was more than the ditzy princess that she had shown them so far. She was quite powerful. Plus her magical outfit was beautiful. It really suited her gorgeous looks. When she was done Sunny ran up to her and hugged her. “Whoa! So cool!” She said.

Padma drew some deep shuddering breaths, and looked up at Maui. She was teary eyed, but smiling. "Thank you," she murmured. "It just making... Me sad to remember... Hey, what they do?" She looked passed Maui to see the fairies watching them cautiously.

"We need tell others," Elvira said to Dae-Jung, mirroring his thoughts. They said goodbye to the fairies, who were reluctant to let Dae-Jung go, and made their way out of the wall city and back to the abandoned citadel.

Robin wasn't quite as excited to run up to Fantasia, though she did admire her appearance. Plus... The fact that she didn't just mindlessly destroy the darkness like she thought she would, like the other fairies wanted to do, it surprised her. Robin walked over and looked up at Fantasia, who appeared thoughtful and reposed. "That was good of you," she said, and the simple words carried enough meaning. Fantasia smiled, and slung her arms around them both. "I truly... Do not want to hurt Foo anymore," she said cryptically.

Maui was about to say something inspiring but then Padma pointed out the fairies. Maui smiled as he grabbed Padmas hand and waved at the fairies with the other. “We have come to help you all and save this world from the darkness. We can protect you!” Maui said.

when they returned, Fable had managed to set up their base a bit better. The place they were staying was a lot cleaner and fixed up. He had even managed to find them a decent amount of food. Dae-jung and Elvira then told Fable what they learned. “Interesting...no wonder his shadows seemed to be limitless.” Fable said.

“We feel the same. Lets work together to save that silly Foo.” Sunny said to Fantasia with a smile. She could tell there was probably something more to their relationship, but that could wait until they got back to the others. They really needed to hear about this gem.

Padma entwined her fingers and stood proudly alongside Maui. Standing beside him only helped to build her up. She wanted to spend the rest of her life beside him like this... The fairies all looked doubtful, even fearful. "No," one whispered hoarsely. "You can't protect us from Farrow."

Elvira was confused. "What you mean?" she asked, not thinking that anything they'd told him made any hints as to why the shadows were 'limitless'.

Robin could tell too, so there was now an unspoken knowledge between the three of them.They released each other from the hug and went back out of the town. The townsfolk didn't let Fantasia leave before thanking her profusely, showering her in praise and petals and mothers asking her to kiss their babies. They clearly really appreciated what Fantasia had done, because now their shadowy friends could stay with them! Fantasia changed back into her feline form to be among them better, and even with such a small stature she looked so regal amongst her people. Robin started to appreciate her as royal now.

“We can. We cant tell you to trust us completely just yet, but we will put a stop to all this pain. Let us help you and we will do all we can to put a stop to Farrow and this eve I’ll.” Maui said. He didnt mention Foo, because he didnt want to demonize him any further. Plus, Maui was sure this was all this Farrow persons fault.

“We did not know of these nests before. Fantasia and I were assuming that Farrow was supplying Foo the power to generate unlimited amounts of shadow creatures. But if there are nest, that means that Farrows power is limited. If we begin taking these nets out Farrow will have to expend more power and thus become weaker, giving us a chance.” Fable explained.

Like this it was clear how much of a princess Fantasia was. Sunny honestly hadnt seen it either, but in truth she had not seen a princess before. But now, she could sense the royalty. After they praised her, the three of them made their way back to the others in order to let them know what it was that they learned.

One of the fairy's studied Padma a little more closely. "Is she the Righteous Rain?" he asked his companion. "Uhh... Yeah, you're right," she replied, a smile starting to spread on her face. "She vanquished evil once. Maybe she can vanquish it again." Padma felt like it was her turn to speak. "We are strong, we will not fail," she said in a slightly wavering tone.

Elvira still didn't fully get it, but she got that destroying more nests was good. She looked at Dae-Jung and shrugged. "You want compete for most nest destroyed?" she asked, raising a playful eyebrow. It was at this point that Fantasia and the girls arrived. Fantasia was in cat-ish form, but she transformed back into her human body and did a little joyous spin. "We have had a joyous day!" she squealed. "Where's Maui? I have to tell him what we just did!"

“Trust in us to help you.” Maui added, holding their hands up in the air. The fairies still seemed skeptical but they seemed a bit more convinced about what the two were saying. “I think we can head back for now padma. I dont know how much we can do.” Maui said.

“Challenge accepted.” Dae-jung was happily accepting her challenge but then the princess came in and his mood soured a bit. “He and Padma have yet to return. How was your mission?” Dae-jung asked Sunny and Robin. “Big news. A lot explain.” Sunny said.

”We done enough,” Padma said, retreating with Maui to find their friends again. “I believe seeds of hope been planted now.”

And so Robin explained what had just taken place, with a few additions from the effervescent princess.

Maui agreed as he and Padma went back to where their friends were. When they got back, everyone shared information and soon a game plan was starting to form. “So, we need to figure out where all the nests are and destroy them to weaken foo’s forces. Once that is done, then we can focus more on finding where Foo is.” Maui said. “We also need to look into the shards that appeared in the village. If we can use them, then maybe we can pacify more villages and stop even more of his forces from encroaching on the land.” Fable said. “We should focus the nests first. We know where 3 of them are, so we should take care of those first. Then we can gather information about where the others located. Hopefully we can find this Farrow and take him out.” Dae-jung said.

Well, the men had pretty much figured the whole plan out. Now all that was left was to action it. It had been a long day already but the day was still young, so they headed out again in search of more information.

(Idk what you said it that way) They went out in their same groups and spread out across the land. Dae-jung and Elvira decided to go head out to one of the nests right away and see how the situation was. Meanwhile, Maui and Padma went to an ancient library that Fable informed them about that might have more information on the old artifact and its effects. They had only got their information from Foo, so maybe if they found out more, they could figure out a way to gather them and banish more darkness. Sunny, Fantasia and Robin headed off to the old castle for some reconnaissance. Maybe they could figure out more about Foo and Farrows location, and the status of Fantasias family.

They didn't know how the nest would be, but one thing was for sure: now Elvira and Dae-Jung held equal scores, so there would be no allowing the other to have all the glory. They'd fight side by side, perhaps even compete. Elvira was looking forward to that. "I visit library at home, Puke Ariki," Padma told Maui as they arrived at the entrance of the ancient fairy library. "Is big and beautiful. But this is... More." She loved the library in Robin's hometown, with all its wealth of knowledge and history and sweeping spaces, but this fairy library was soooo much bigger. Padma could almost cry at its beauty. "Is beautiful," she breathed, absentmindedly taking Maui's hand. "Are you worried about your family?" Robin asked as they approached the castle. "Not really," Fantasia replied. "They're very powerful, they can look after themselves. Besides, they wouldn't worry about me."

Dae-jung was also really excited to see the nest. He wanted to test more of his power, and also do some teamwork with Elvira. He missed the way they used to fight together, and now he would get the chance again. It took them a while, but they eventually arrived at the nest. It was jsut a massive cave and from inside shadows would come spewing out. “So how do you want to play this?” Dae-jung asked. Maui held her hand and smiled. She was right, this place was amazing. He bet it looked even more magnificent when there were people here. As of now it was abandoned. “I bet the inside is even more amazing. Imagine all the knowledge that we could learn from a library from a different world. Its pretty exciting.” Maui said as they opened up the doors and went inside. Sunny felt kind of sad the way she said that. “Why do you think that? Im sure they’re worried about you too.” She said to Fantasia.

Elvira didn't know much about tactics, all she knew was that they were facing a big ass cave full of shadows. "I don't know, big smash smash?" she suggested, mimicking beating the shadows with her giant sword. "Y-yes," was all Padma could say as they stepped inside to see vast expansive halls, filled floor to ceiling with books. Miles and miles of books. It was heaven... "Can we read fairy language?" Padma suddenly wondered aloud. Fantasia seemed to realise what she'd just said and she laughed nervously. "Oh, no, I meant they know I'm powerful so they wouldn't worry! Haha!" Robin glanced at Sunny. "Uh huh, sure." Anyway, they were as close to the castle as they could get without breaking the tree line.

Dae-jung knew that Elvira would say something like that....and he was all for it. “Alright. Thats the best strategy for us I think. Lets just go in and start smashing things up.” Dae-jung said excitedly. “Fable said we should be able to read the books. Maybe there’s some magic that will let us? Lets find a book and try it.” Maui said as they went to a random bookshelf. Sunny was also skeptical, but she let it go as they had made it to the castle. It was in terrible shape. There was so much destruction that it would take a looong time to fix it. And what was worse, there were really large shadow beasts roaming all around.

Elvira grinned, and then charged ahead into the cave, ready to take on anything with Dae-Jung at her side. "Hmm, I wonder," Padma mused. She studied the page and then laughed. "The words are in English and Farsi," she exclaimed. "This one is Farsi, to me." She pointed to a word that was a bit less commonly used, so she might not have learned it in English yet. "This is a bit more dangerous than I expected," Robin commented. "I have to agree," Fantasia said. "Hmm. I need to look inside. Girls, stay here." In her little feline form she skipped forward quickly towards the castle entrance. She was fast, but the trail of sparkles she left behind would be an obvious sign to the shadow beasts.

As they approached, the shadows saw them and a horde of them began to run towards them. Dae-jung transformed instantly, and made his gauntlets appear as he punched one of the shadows so hard that it was sent flying into the nearest cluster. “Wow. This place is real special yeah? I think we can find whatever we need here.” Maui said. The word she pointed out looked like English to him so it must have depended on who was reading it. He looked at a book and could see it was in English. “Does she not know sparkles?” Sunny asked Robin. They couldnt leave her or she would get swarmed in an instant. Looks like they might have to fight their way through.

At the same time, Elvira swing her gigantic sword and sent multiple shadows flying backwards through the air. Woo, this was so exhilarating to do alongside Dae-Jung. Padma smiled warmly at Maui. Being here in a place like this with Maui was just a dream. She drifted off further into the library to see what she could find. “Guess not,” Robin mumbled. They would definitely have to follow her now. Before they could, a stream of little shadow creatures went after the princes through the door. They ducked out of sight but then re-emerged when the coast was clear.

“How about we work on combination attacks? This seems like the most opportune time to experiment.” Dae-jung said as he grabbed a shadow, delivered a few punches to its face and then tossed it into another group nearby. When Padma wandered further into the library she came across something strange. There were statues of what looked like fairies, but they were all in very...horrofied positions. Almost as if they had been turned to stone... “not good.” Sunny said as she transforme. Fantasia might not be able to fight when she was in her fairy form so they could hurt her before she could get away.

Elvira nodded gruffly in agreement to Dae-Jung's idea. "Boost?" She lowered her sword to the ground, thinking of using it to fling Dae-Jung up high. Then he could do some aerial attacks! Padma had seen this kind of thing before, when she'd first learned about fossils and dinosaurs and stuff. Fascinating, but Padma couldn't help feeling sorry for the dinosaurs trapped for eternity in fearful poses. "They may be... Petrified?" "Very not good," Robin agreed with a sigh. She transformed too and together they went after Fantasia. However when they entered the castle doors, all the shadows that had followed after Fantasia were lying limp on the ground, disappearing slowly. Huh.

Dae Jung liked that idea. He grabbed a shadow and then ran and hopped onto Elviras sword as she launched him in hthe air. He spun around rather expertly as he dive bombed with the shadow and smashed into a whole pile, destroying a whole group of them at once. It appeared that way. However, if she was looking for a response from Maui, she wouldnt get one because when she turned around she couldnt see him or hear him. It was...disturbingly quiet. Oh. Sunny untensed a bit as they saw that the shadows were defeated. “No worries.” Sunny said.

Elvira had been fully focused on the fight, but watching Dae-Jung do that move, so cool and awesome... She couldn’t help stopping in her tracks to admire him with a soft, girly look on her face. Padma’s heart thudded in her chest when she realised she was alone. “Maui?” She murmured. “Maui!” A little louder this time, but the library only echoed her own voice back to her.
