Mary scoffed. "She still comes from human DNA, she's not just a monster or an animal. And you know what will make her hostile towards humans? Giving her to a bunch of scientists so they can prod and poke her, and do god knows what." A small part of her agreed with Victor, and knew she was being controlled by her hormones, but... "You know what? This was a mistake. Get out. Get out of my house."

“Mary. Dont do this. I dont know why you are being so motherly towards...her. But we have to run tests. She could be dangerous.Id be willing not to turn her in but you have ot at least let me run a blood test.” Victor said. He wouldn’t want to, but he would turn Mary in if it would keep her safe from something they didnt know anything about.

"Out!" Mary repeated more forcefully this time. She'd apologise to Jenny for the shouting in a bit. She could tell that he wasn't going to go along with this, so she had to kick him out now. And if he tried to tell anyone... Ugh, why had she trusted him?!

Jenny curled up in fear, squeezing Mary's arm perhaps a bit too hard. Mary should have trusted him because they were friends. Or at least they were supposed to be. Victor had no idea what this creature had done, but it was making Mary not think straightly. He couldnt leave her alone with that thing, but right now she was leaving him no choice. "Ok. Ok. Ill leave. But we're not done talking about this Mary. You're my friend. I wont let you endanger yourself like this." Victor said, holding his hands up as he started backing up to leave.

Mary waited until Victor had left before looking at Jenny. "It's okay, honey. Please let go," she murmured. Her hand was starting to go numb and a bit purple. [Well that was lame.]

Once victor had left Jenny released Mary’s arm. She looked up at Mary with those big beautiful red eyes and then stuck her tongue out and licked Mary’s face. She was so happy there was no more shouting or anger.

Mary looked down at Jenny and smiled. "Sorry," she said breathily. "It was a bad idea to bring him in here. I thought he would understand at least a little bit." She waited until she had heard the front door closing before heading out of her bedroom. "You need breakfast, little one."

Jenny just cuddled up in Mary’s arms as they headed out. Her stomach was rumbling so she was pretty hungry.

Before they headed out, Mary dressed both herself and then Jenny in some spare small clothes she had randomly lying around... Jenny looked so cute in her babygrow that she had to cuddle and kiss her a bit before they left, with Mary putting her in a papoose pressed to her chest so no one could see her. As much as she didn't want to, she'd slipped Jenny some cold medicine to make her drowsy while they were out.

Jenny felt weird wearing clothes, especially since she didnt have any hole for her tail so it was coiled underneath her clothing. She didnt have much time to think of it because Mary had given her some nasty tasting stuff and it made her kind of sleepy. She let out a cute little yawn as she leaned agaisnt Mary as they headed out.

Mary swooned and kissed Jenny's head a few times as they walked along the street. She was so cute. Ugh, she hoped none of her neighbours or acquaintances saw her on her travels. They would all question her with her baby strapped to the front of her. Thankfully, they got to the market without any issues, and Jenny got to experience all new sounds and smells.

Jenny was still a little drowsy but she could see everything from her little pouch. Everything was so new and bright and pretty! She was a little scared because there were a bunch of different Marys walking around, but she was intrigued by the things she hadnt seen.

Mary tried not to rush so that she didn't miss anything they might need, and also because she didn't want to look like she was rushing. Ugh, this was so difficult. She was sweating profusely as she shopped. Hopefully no one noticed, of they did then they might assume she was just hot flushing. They had just gotten to the check-out when... "Maaaary!?" came a wheezing voice from behind her. Jenny could feel Mary tense and cringe. "Hi... Mrs Batsford," she mumbled, turning her head to look back at her neighbour. [You wanna be the neighbour to make this sitch super difficult for them?]

“Oh my gosh sweetheart how are you? I havent seen you in forever!! You havent been home in so long sweetie.” Mrs Bastsford, Mary’s elderly and quite nosy, next door neighbor was in town doing some shopping of her own. She was surprised to see Mary here. And even more surprised to see what she was carrying. “Oh sweetie what’s that?” Mrs. Batsford asked.

"Hhhhhhi Mrs Batsford," Mary said through gritted teeth, breathing heavily on the intro to try to calm herself down. "I've been at work. A-and babysitting my niece. She's sick," she added, keeping Jenny turned away from her nosy neighbour. Old people were weird around babies...

Jenny was confused and curled up a built to Mary’s chest. “Oooh a niece? I didnt know you had a niece, let alone any siblings. What’s the little darlings name? Can I see her?” Mrs. Batsford said as she got closer.

"No," Mary replied, "I-I told you, she's sick. You'll make it worse if you come closer. S-sorry, Mrs Batsford." She quickly went to the front of the line and started bagging up all the stuff she bought.

Oh she was acting quite odd. She hoped the child was ok. Mary was so caring. Mrs. Batsford smiled as she went on shopping.

"... Huh," Marry muttered, standing more comfortably. That had been quite easy. She quickly paid for her foodstuffs and hobbled out of there, lugging fur full bags of shopping with her scrawny scientist arms.

Sadly, this wouldnt be the last that Mary would have to deal with Mrs. Batsford. Anyway when they got home Jenny was looking very drained. She had a fun time but she really needed some food right now. Luckily Mary had plenty to experiment with.

Mary quickly put Jenny down on the couch as she threw stuff into cupboards and the fridge. "Just a minute, baby," she cooed to Jenny as she got out something new for her - a pot of jelly. "How about this?" she asked Jenny as she scooped her up and showed her the jiggling red blob of jelly. It smelled very sweet.

Jenny sniffed the jelly and her eyes lit up. She let out her long tongue and scooped the jelly and sucked it into her mouth. She nommed on it for a moment, and her dark grey skin began to brighten, and actually turned a bit of the color of the jelly. She curled up into a ball and rolled around a bit, seeming happy about the jelly.

"Hmm~," Mary hummed in fascination when she saw Jenny tinge brighter and then a little pink from the red jelly. That was fascinating. She held her so that she couldn't roll up too much and fall, and gave her another jelly pot, then went to write this discovery down.

Jenny happily ate all the jelly and seemed really elated. She was really hyper, constantly wanting to roll out of Mary’s arms and just move around. when the jelly was gone she looked really sad but happy she got to eat it. Her tail was swinging around wildly.

Mary was happy to let her pootle about, so she set her free and got out her notebook and camera. She wrote that jelly was okay to eat, and then got ready to film Jenny in case she did something cute.
