Project Genesis

“Mom...mommy. I know you feel bad about that still. But its ok. You need me. I want to help. Let me come and lets stop the bad man together.” Jenny said.

Jenny cuddled with her mother, anxious about what was about to come. She had a mix of fear and anger towards seeing Victor again. She recalled what he did to her and now that she was a bit older and understood it just made her skin crawl and her blood boil. She wouldnt let him do that to anyone else, and she would make sure to keep her mother safe. She had a restless night and soon the morning came and it was time for them to leave.

After changing plans and meeting at the cafe, they went over a game plan of sorts. Bethany would get them inside the building and focus on security so that Mary could get inside, find victor, and stop him from whatever he was doing. The goal was to talk to him, but if that failed the most Mary could do is just find a way to destroy what Victor had created. Bethany didnt know about Jenny because Mary refused to tell her, so Mary would have to find some way to also sneak Jenny in.

As nerve wracking as this was, Jenny was kind of excited. This was like one of those spy movies they watched together where they had to wear camoflauge and infiltrate an enemy base. Jenny nodded and got herself ready along with Mary. They waited for Bethanys signal and soon they were at the base. Bethany had opened up a rear door for them and had disabled the security so they could make their way to the deepest area of the lab. The rest was up to them.

They managed to get pretty far but then they found a door which needed a key card. Luckily they passed by someone with clearance and Jenny managed to use her tail to snatch it from them, so they could gain access to the door which led to an elevator that went deep underground. “This is kind of spooky.” Jenny said when they were alone in the elevator.

Jenny could tell how tense this was so she grabbed onto her mothers hand and squeezed it. Mary used to do this for Jenny whenever she had nightmare so hopefully this helped Mary now.

When the doors opened, they opened to a large hallway and it was....very creepy. Jenny was getting tingles all throughout her body. She straightened up through as they started to walk through. There was a very odd...smell in the air. Jenny didnt like it.

They found another hallway that split off into two separate areas. One way it sounded like someone was speaking. The other way...was the source of the awful smell.

"Ill be ok. Be safe." Jenny said to Mary as she quickly headed towards the strange awful smell.

When Mary made her way down the hallway, she could hear the talking more clearly. It was victor. He didnt sound right though...."This one wont be a failure...I tested it...tasted it...made sure it was obedient...it will last longer than its predecessors....Ive finally got it down now...there's no way they wont see my genius....thatll show them....show her..." He said with anger in his voice.

Meanwhile, Jenny had made it to the end of the hall and opened the door. She was flooded with an awful smell and a really dark room. The only thing she could see in the room was a door on the far side. Jenny held her breath and made her way to the door and opened it. Inside there was what looked like a really shabby living area and something else was lurking inside...

"mmm...mmm..." Victor was musing over something for a bit. "Should get back...have to examine again..." He said as he headed towards leaving the office.

"h-hello? can you understand me? My name is Jenny. Im here to help ya." Jenny said as she could sort of make out a figure over in the corner. She slowly walked towards it.

Luckily he didnt see her as Victor left the room, still mumbling to himself as he made his way down the hallway towards where Jenny was...

whoa. So...was she like Jenny? Is that what victor was doing here? She wanted to speak with this thing more, but she could hear footsteps coming towards the room. Uh oh she needed to hide. She had partial night vision, so she could see a lump of something, it looked like a pillar, in the corner, so she quickly headed towards it and hid.

Jenny made sure to keep hidden, until Victor walked in and turned on the lights. It was then that they could see what was causing the stench. There were bones of animals littered all over the place, and the whole room was incredibly filthy. PLus when they got a good look at the creature in the room it was horribly filthy, and a bit malnourished. But it was certainly a species similar to Jenny, yet it was also quite different. It had blue fur on certain parts of its body it had very long messy hair. Also, when Victor turned on the lights, the lights of the pillar Jenny was standing behind cameo n, and it turned out to not be a pillar but a tank, and inside was...what looked like a dead version of the creature. “Im back ZX12. Its time for the next examination.” Victor said to it.
