“Itll be fine. I...I have a strategy for fighting these. You remember how we fought the ice wolf in the mountains? One of us distracts it and occupy its teeth and the other hits it between the eyes. Since you have the bow and arrow....Ill get its teeth clamped on my sword.” Hiro said. He was really nervous, but he was sure this would be easier, in a sense, then fighting a horde of slimes. There was only one.

”R-right.” Jiayi got her bow ready. “Be careful, okay? I’m not a herbs master yet to heal a bite wound from one of those.”

“Yeah Ill be careful.” Hiro said. He held up his katana and slowly approached the dire wolf and was squaring up with it. It ignored Jiayi as it began to circle around Hiro. Hiro was sweating just waiting for it to make a move. It tensed up and then pounced and swiped at Hiro. Hiro frantically ducked down, just barely missing the swipe and he tried to slice the Dire wolf’s leg. It was quick so it dodged then it pounced on him with its teeth. Hiro raised his katana and managed to stop the dire wolf from chomping on him. Its teeth were digging into his arms a bit but he was keeping it from biting him.

Jiayi had her bow half drawn, ready to fire when the shot was clear. The angle was difficult because Hiro was in the way of the dire wolf's head, so Jiayi circled around and pulled back her arrow to fire. But they were moving around so much!

The dire wolf was beginning to over power Hiro at this point. "Jiayi, dont worry about me....take the shot!" Hiro said. He wasnt sure he would be able to do this again, and the dire wolf's teeth were digging deeper into his arm.

Inhaling sharply, Jiayi knocked her arrow back fully and then fired straight at the dire wolf's head.

The shot was a bit off and instead of hitting the wolf dead center, Jiayi’s arrow went straight into its eye. It yelped loudly as it moved away from Hiro and began to flail in pain and anger. It managed to snap the arrow out of its eye, but it was bleeding quite a lot. It seemed smart, because instead of attacking again, it growled angrily and then dashed off. Hiro plopped down to the ground, bleeding a bit but still alive. “Oh man. Nice shot.” He said.
