Beyond Space & Time

Wolfie had paralysed them all so he couldn't respond beyond looking up at Wolfie in wild fear. They would have to find the women on their own.

They had been in some kind of storage room, and when they came out they saw that the spa was being lit by red emergency lights. The whole place was in lockdown. There were cries of distress in the distance from other visitors and some staff. So it seemed the immortals were not the target but just happened to get caught up in this.

They could sense the Atlases already pretty far away from them, outside of this area of the spa planet. There was a higher concentration of people where they were - perhaps people were being taken there.

It appears the invasion had happened quickly, because the beautiful and peaceful vista was tarnished by fleets of ships peppering the sky. There were screams coming from all around as people of all races and creeds were taken against their will. This was very reminiscent of Wolfie's universe's Corporation. So this universe must have had a huge super evil group too. As some ships flew down, others were flying up. One of them had Atlas' presence and another had elder Atlas' presence. They'd been smart enough to separate them at least. Elder Atlas' ship had more heavy armament though, so it would be safer for Wolfie to go for that one.

Elder Atlas' signal was coming right from the centre of the ship, through several layers of fortified metals and heavily guarded at each turn. Atlas, however, was off in a side room with several other hostages.

Wolfie was absolutely tearing through the ship. It seemed that these people were spending so much of their attention and energy on keeping Elder Atlas in, that they weren't really focused on what was coming from the outside. Atlas, meanwhile, was not putting up as much of a fight as Elder Atlas clearly was to have them so focused. The slime used to take her and Wolfie down was actually much more potent than Wolf's and Elder Atlas', because the Corporation hadn't dosed the other one up as much. As such, while Elder Atlas had come out of it relatively quickly, Atlas was still completely out of it. When Wolf came into the room, he saw a group of all-female prisoners being terrorised by a group of captors. Atlas was unconscious on the floor, but someone was keeping his foot on her head to make sure she couldn't get up.

When Wolfie got to where they were keeping Elder Atlas, he could see that she was being kept inside some sort of energy grid. She didn't look harmed, in fact she was sitting cross legged like a peaceful Buddha while the guards kept their guns trained on her. "Shit, he's in here!" one of them yelled, drawing the attention of the guns towards Wolfie instead. Atlas grumbled and curled up against Wolf, thinking he was someone else clearly. The girls swooned at Wolf, but then looked disappointed as he scooped up the girl who was clearly his lover. They followed him regardless.

The guards didn't fire immediately on Wolfie, as firing in a compact space would deafen them all. But two big brutes stepped forward and began swinging huge clubs at Wolfie to keep him away from the cage. As the girls were loading into an escape pod, one of them stopped dead, having spotted something in the shadows beside them. She tried to scream but could only gurgle in confused terror at the dark form before her. It reached out and stroked her cheek, filling her mind with the things it and its minions would do to her. The girl lost control of her bladder and then passed out, which is the first Wolf would notice of something wrong happening.

To hell with their ears, the guards then turned their guns on Wolfie and began firing on him to keep him back. The gunshots made Elder Atlas stir slightly and she opened her eyes slightly. Huh, she must still be a bit groggy because that didn't look like her Wolf... When Wolf approached the girl, she was suddenly lifted up into the air by a dark creature. It was the same height as Wolf, but as it slung her over its shoulder it began to bulge and grow taller. Ooh, it liked what it saw. Two attractive young beings, each brimming with potential and power. It liked them both immediately. It reached out to Wolf to stroke his funny ears.

When they were dealt with, Elder Atlas slowly stood up in her cage. With a small flick of her wrist, the energy barrier was dispersed. "Aww, I thought my Wolf was coming to get me," she said casually, dusting off dust from her shoulder. Atlas was starting to come round, and realised it wasn't Wolfie holding her. "Wh-wha's goin' on?" she slurred. The creature cocked its head and let the girl on its shoulder slide down. As if from the shadows, a group of armed men appeared. One took the girl while the others swarmed into the escape pod to get the others.

"I didn't, actually," said Elder Atlas with a sigh, rolling her shoulders. "I just wanted to come and relax here, and tease you and my younger self." She chuckled. "But then I noticed we were being watched - as did you, I take it? This is the Corporation, a galaxy-wide people trafficking cartel. Do you have your own version?" The creature didn't move a muscle as Wolf approached. Atlas was still groggy but she could see that something was very wrong. "Wolf, wait!" she cried out. But he had already run head-first into it and just... Passed through it. His powers, his strength, it did nothing.

"Mhm," Elder Atlas hummed. "Anyway, I figured we may as well dent their numbers somewhat. I'm surprised that our partners haven't escaped their own ship yet." Her ears fluttered towards where the other ship was and she looked worried. "They won't mind if we help them out this once, right?" Atlas grabbed Wolf as he ran over to her, but quickly threw him to the side. The creature had swooped to grab him, but because of her move it instead grabbed Atlas. She squawked as it picked her up by the neck, and flailed. The creature did not feel particularly strong, Atlas had felt more strength in less intimidating beings - it just felt like she couldn't fight back. She couldn't feel her cosmic strength, or even any of her beast strength. She was nothing but a mortal when this creature held her, but the creature found her to be a fine catch indeed! It appeared to grin, and then turned to advance on Wolf. Atlas was quickly losing consciousness.
