Beyond Space & Time

Wolfie looked unsure. “That would be ideal yes. But we have no idea how powerful it has become. If we are to take it on together, we need to lower its guard and strike. Also....I know how much you are against this, but ending its life...would be the only option to us. Otherwise it will just pursue us again.”

“I shall engage it first so you may observe and find a weakness we may exploit. Once you do, we will both use a pincer attack and deabilitate it and I shall go in for the finish. You are quite strong now, but there is still power within you that has been untapped into. Be careful and do not take any unnecessary risks. Even if it means I become injured. Understood?” Wolfie said.

“I....I will do my best.” Wolfie said hugging her back. He was about to say he wouldnt be able to control that but he did not wish to worry her. “Its approaching us. Ready yourself. Every moment could decide the outcome of this fight. Dont look away for a second.” Wolfie said. Then, Atlas could see something approaching them from space. It was almost there.

A few moments passed and then down from the heavens came the eternal. He assumed a massive form as clouds swirled and formed all around his being as he looked down on them. "I HAVE SENSED THAT YOU ARE OF MY KIN. YOU WHO HAVE NOT CLEANSED THE COSMOS OF THE MORTALS ARE FILTH BEFORE A DIVINE BEING SUCH AS I. REJOICE IN YOUR ETERNAL DAMNATION AS I SEND YOU BOTH TO OBLIVION. FOR I AM ZANATOS, THE ONE TRUE ETERNAL GOD." The eternal boomed from above. Although his comments were idiotic, even Atlas could sense how powerful he was.

"Zanatos. We do not wish to battle you. If you leave now, this doesnt have to end in either of our deaths." Wolfie said. Zanatos burst out with a fit of laughter. "YOU DARE SAY THAT YOU WOULD SHOW MERCY TO AN ALLMIGHTY GOD?! I SHALL SMITE YOU WITH ALL MY RIGHTEOUS EVERLASTING FURY!!" Zanatos said as he held out his hand and sent a powerful beam of light at them. Wolfie grabbed Atlas and zipped them out of the way as the beam burrowed into the ground. "Seems he does not have any qualms with destroying planets. We could use that to our advantage." Wolfie said.

"Im going to go on the offensive. Remember what I told you about looking for openings and weaknesses in your enemies." Wolfie told Atlas.

Wolfie took a deep breath and then burst forth, glowing brightly as he did so. He plowed into Zanatos, who was surprised as it was pushed backwards by the force of Wolfies blow. Zanatos countered by grabbing wolfie and attempting to toss him, but then Wolfie grew to Zanatos’s size and punched them in the face. THe battle was about to rev up.

Wolfie seemed to be pushing Zanatos back a bit, but Zanatos was beginning to get its bearing and was starting to push back against Wolfie. “YOU ARE BRAVE TO CHALLENGE ONE AS GREAT AS I. I SHALL OFFER YOU A SWIFT DEATH.” Zanatos said. Wolfie ignored it and he smashed into Zanatos hard creating a massive quake from the collision.

Zanatos used its wings to take Wolfie into the sky, causing huge winds to devastate everything. Zanatos also had a tail and it came up from behind it and wrapped itself around Wolfies neck making Wolfie release Zanatos. Zanatos then took the opportunity to shoot another beam at wolfie which shot through his arm.

Wolfie stifled a shout and instead took advantage by using his other hand to slice off Zanatos’s tail and then kick it into a distant planet. Wolfie grabbed the spot where his arm was and kept it from bleeding. Damn this wound hurt. He hadnt been hurt like this in a while. It was quite unpleasant.

Wolfie appreciated it. He didnt want to drag this fight on so he was ready to go all out, and maybe it would take Zanatos off guard. “Shield yourself. Im going to take him out with one shot.” Wolfie warned Atlas. Wolfie let out a massive primal scream and transformed into a galactic wolf. He then charged Zanatos full throttle. The collision was massive, encompassing several planets in its wake.

When she got back everything was devastated. But if she focused she could feel Wolfies energy, although it was pretty weak. He was floating in space and nearby she could see Zanatos. It seemed to have barely survived Wolfies attack. It was creeping towards Wolfie, looking like it was going to stab him for what he did to it.

Zanatos had flown into debris nearby from one of the broken planets. It growled as it shakily moved towards them again. “You wretched beings! To be able to damage me to such an extent....it is affront against nature, nay the very heavens themselves! You must be punished!” Zanatos said.
