Magical Warriors of Silvatica

Elvira pouted, didn't say anything to Maui, and just glared at Dae-Jung. One day she would defeat him, because as of now he was still owning her and she hated it. If Padma had known Foo would cut the bout so short, she would have attacked harder - but she didn't say that, instead she smiled slightly at Dae-Jung. Should she banter with him or...? N-no, she wasn't comfortable around him. But then he spoke and she had a counter for it. "Actually, I think we should go in without planning," she said. "It will force us to improvise, as we never know what any situation will demand of us."

Elvira didn't wait for the others to start - she made the first move by forming deadly ice shards and sending them right at Dae-Jung. Padma didn't have a counter for that so she just dodged. Needlessly, though, as none of them were aimed at her.

Padma was glad for Elvira’s fixation on Dae-Jung, because it gave her an opening to try something new. She hid behind the fire shield with Dae-Jung and tried a blind attack, imaging a jet of water curving around behind Maui and Elvira, and knocking them both forwards. It worked - on Elvira at least, who was more of a slow moving tank.

Padma wanted to try something different now. “I’ll take defence,” she said to Dae-Jung as she spun a ball of water around and around. It got bigger and bigger, until she had created a thick swirling barrier of water between them and Maui.

”Excuse you,” Elvira snapped at Maui. How dare he say she was doing nothing. In fact, Padma had gotten distracted by having all eyes on Maui, as ever, so Elvira had created shards of ice that stabbed up through the ground and pinned Padma between them. She was totally stuck!

”Made an opening for ya,” Elvira said dully, as Padma was now distracted by being freed from the ice.

Padma had just freed herself from the ice in time, so she was able to push Dae-Jung back and leapt away with him. She didn't land it quite right, so she landed on top of Dae-Jung. "Oh, no, I'm sorry!" she wheezed, rolling off him and flapping her hands. Robin giggled from the sidelines. Ooh, how would Maui react to that sight?

Elvira also got a weird look on her face when she saw that, but she quickly shook it off and leapt into action. She had to side-step Maui as he was flung back, which gave Padma the chance to shoot a high power jet of water at her when she wasn't looking. It spun her away and she fell hard right next to Maui. Padma looked relieved to have won this round to make up for the last loss.

Elvira grunted too, but got up without complaint. She didn't mind getting hit as much when it was when Padma was the one doing the hitting. Meanwhile Padma went over to Maui to see if he was alright. She looked apologetic to have won.

Padma was even more relieved now, and smiled shyly at Maui. It would have been so out of character for him to be angry about the defeat, she knew that. Elvira begrudgingly took the compliment, then looked to Foo. "Now what?" She was getting bored of sparring.

Robin blushed and looked down. "I'm probably not very useful," she said. Wow, she was so humble to the point of self deprecation. Padma wanted to swaddle her with compliments.

Robin agreed reluctantly and smiled. And for the next couple of hours, they trained and trained until Robin was just as seemingly useless as before. Training had no effect. When they left the training room and went to get dinner in Robin's house, Robin was smiling and laughing, but Padma saw there was no light in her eyes now. "She is depressed," she whispered sadly to Maui.

"Where?" asked Robin, setting down the frying pan she had been about to pick up as she looked up at Foo.
