Atlas smiled slightly. "After this place, first," she said. "We'll probably never fix everything, even with all the time in the universe, but... It'll be fun trying."

“I suppose it could.” Wolfie said with a smile smile as well. They waited a while until they could see police ships coming down.

Atlas kept her eyes locked on Wolfie's for a few long moments. All the beauty in the universe but Atlas kept looking at him... The police cruiser distracted her, and the two of them stood up as it landed on their island. Others were landing all over the planet. From out of the ship stepped the tallest woman Atlas had ever seen. She took off her space helmet and let loose a knee length cascade of dark hair. Her skin was also dark, and angular, and... Angry. She was glaring at Wolfie as she strode over to him, not saying anything yet.

There was another officer who eas accompanying her. She was a lot smaller by comparison, and she also had very long hair, tied up into a nice braid behind her. She had a somewhat stern look, but it was nothing compared to the large woman’s glare at wolfie. “Dominique it is always a pleasure to see you. “ Wolfie said as courteously as possible.

Atlas detected an ever so slight softening in "Dominique's" sharp edges when Wolfie spoke, but then she rehardened after a moment. What was that about? But wow, this Dominique looked so cool, and so tall! "What have you done?" she asked Wolfie in an icy voice, all exotically accented and deep, deeper than many men's voices.

The woman beside Dominique was ready with a pen and paper to account what Wolfie would be saying. wolfie explained to Dominique about what had occurred and how he and Atlas had almost singlehandedly toppled this crime ring. He didnt spare many details, and he gave props to Atlas for a bunch of it, seeing as how if it wasnt for her they wouldn’t have come here. “I was hoping now that you know the location of this site, you could add patrols to make sure it does not reactivate.” Wolfie finished.

Dominique gave her subordinate a look, and then got out a recording device. Pen and paper were beyond obsolete these days. She then looked at Atlas curiously before Wolfie finished his story. "They will not come back," she growled. "They will go elsewhere, get smarter, and angrier at you... Where are you from?" she asked Atlas suddenly. Atlas blushed and stammered: "E-Earth." Hmm, that planet seemed to spawn a lot of immortals...
[I've just realised a flaw here - Wolfie's been asleep for hundreds of years so I guess in this thread Dominique lives for much longer.]

(I thought it would be alright if she lived a long life. Could be a cool thing about her species.) Her subordinate liked to be thorough. She was also recording the conversation, but she wouldnt tell her boss that. "I do not think that will be much of an issue. They were not very smart to begin with. They had a ridiculous amount of confidence this type of thing would not occur that they had no back up plans. But I will leave it up to you what to do from now on." Wolfie said, getting Dominiques attention back onto him. There was no reason for her to cross examine Atlas.

Dominique glanced briefly back at Wolfie, then scowled off to the horizon. "This does not sound like the Corporation," she said, to Jennifer though it looked like she was speaking to herself. She went back to her ship to radio in some reinforcements, calling in a larger ship to ferry up all of the imprisoned guards and buyers. This was going to create a mountain of paperwork.

"Hmm it seems like this isnt even a big fish. Interesting." WOlfie said to Atlas. "I have not heard of the Corporation before, but they sound like another crime syndicate. Should we ask Dominique more about it?" Wolfie asked Atlas.

Something Wolfie hadn't heard of? Now Atlas was extra intrigued, and she nodded in agreement, and they went over to Dominique as she finished radioing in reinforcements.

"Dominique we heard you speaking about the corporation. What is it? Perhaps we can offer you assistance." Wolfie said to Dominique when they arrived. He was usually very straight to the point, especially with her.

Dominique scowled. "You are not all-knowing?" she growled, seeming disappointed. What was that about? "They are galaxy-wide trafficking ring, with footholds everywhere. Even in police." Her dark face took an even darker turn. "Tell me, did you see something look like this?" She produced a hologram of the creature that Atlas had seen by itself. "I saw one of those," she said sadly. Dominique's scowl deepened. "So this was corporation. They are getting cocky. They will not make this mistake again."

“I have not dipped into this type of information so your input is very much appreciated. If this was but one facet of their organization, then it should be possible for us to find more of their bases. Thank you for the help Dominique. It has been a pleasure seeing you again.” Wolfie said in his generally straightforward tone.

A pleasure? It sure didn't seem like it. Dominique's face flickered with another intriguing glimpse of something else, maybe sorrow this time, but it was gone again. "You have changed," she told him simply, before turning away to talk to her subordinate.

The both of them flew off from the planet and continued on. “Atlas, Where shall we go next? I think perhaps we should take a break and collect ourselves and talk about what happened.” Wolfie said.

"Hmm," Atlas murmured, tapping her lip. She could fly independently now. "I don't know... I kinda of don't want to stop. There are so many people hurting out there." It seemed she had caught the hero bug, but she wasn't thinking long term about her own health.

Atlas sighed and ran a hand through her hair. She knew he was right, but the more time they spent not helping people, the more people were getting hurt. There were probably millions of little girls and boys being taken from their parents by bad people right now... It was overwhelming. She wanted to vomit suddenly but held it in. "S-so tell me about Dominique," she ventured as they flew past a binary star system. "She was giving you some funny looks."

“She was a colleague. I used to be a part of the police force but I realized I could do more on my own so I left. She did not take it well, since we were partners.” Wolfie said as he led atlas towards a planet they could rest in.

"Why were you in the police?" Atlas asked quizzically. That didn't seem like a very Wolfie thing to do - he was a wandering, disinterested nomad. Also that would make Dominique super old, was she an immortal too?
